This May, we're getting eloped in France and we could not be more excited to share this next chapter with you. And while we cannot wait to say I do, we are equally excited for what comes after — celebrating with you in Prince Edward County this summer.
Below you will find everything you need for the weekend including our schedule, venue details, accommodation recommendations, and RSVP.
On the day before Mother's Day in 2014, Vickie packed up her life in Montreal and Kris packed up his in Ottawa and without knowing the other existed, both moved to Toronto. (To our mothers, who were probably expecting a visit the next day, we are sorry and we love you.)
Two years later, we met. And from that very first moment, we knew. There was a connection between us that felt both instant and inevitable, and neither of us could ignore it. Toronto became the backdrop of our love story and over the years it was good to us, but we always knew our chapter there had an ending.
After travels, adventures, and almost a year of living in Mexico, we finally did the thing we had been talking about for years. We left the city for Prince Edward County, a small beautiful corner of Ontario wine country that had stolen our hearts long before we ever lived there. And just like that, the County became home.
For two people who love to travel, getting married in one of the most romantic cities in the world felt like the perfect decision. And when we come home, there is nowhere else we would rather celebrate than right here in the County with you.
A small celebration with our closest friends and family.

If you have never been to Prince Edward County, we are so excited for you to experience it for the first time. A charming island on Lake Ontario roughly 3-4 hours from Ottawa and Montreal, and 2.5 hours from Toronto, PEC has a little bit of everything — swimmable beaches like Sandbanks Provincial Park, award-winning wineries, incredible restaurants, lavender fields, local shops and boutiques, farmers markets, and more.
We may be a little biased but we think a few extra days here is never a bad idea. If you are looking for a little escape this summer, this is the perfect excuse to make a trip of it. We highly recommend arriving a day or two early and giving yourself the time to explore. For more information on things to do and see, visitthecounty.com is a wonderful resource.
PEC is made up of several small towns spread across the island. Our events will be taking place in Picton, the main hub, but surrounding towns like Bloomfield and Wellington are all just a short drive away and equally worth exploring.
To make things a little easier, we have put together a few resources below. Visit the County has a comprehensive list of registered hotels and inns across the island, and Airbnb offers a wider variety of rentals to suit every style and budget. For those travelling as a group, County Curated specializes in boutique vacation properties and is a wonderful option for families or friends looking to share a space.
The County is one of Ontario's most popular summer destinations, which means accommodation books up fast. Some of the more popular properties are already fully booked, so we recommend securing your stay sooner rather than later. If the County happens to be fully booked, Belleville is about 25 minutes away with several hotel options at a more affordable price point.

Your presence at our celebration is truly all we could ask for. We do not have a registry and having you there is more than enough.
Absolutely! Parsons Brewery has a large outdoor space with an unstructured playground, so they will have plenty of room to play. Feel free to pack some outdoor toys or games to keep them entertained.
For Saturday dinner, garden casual attire is recommended. Think summer dresses, linen and light button downs — no need for blazers or anything formal. Parsons will be open to the public so there will be other patrons around. Just come comfortable and dressed for the occasion.
For Sunday brunch, come as you are. It is a relaxed morning at our home.
Yes! Parsons Brewery has free on-site parking. For Sunday brunch, there is parking available on our street.
Dinner starts at 6:00 pm on Saturday so aim to arrive a few minutes before. That said, if you are planning to make it a longer trip, we highly recommend arriving a day or two early. August in the County is something special and there is so much to explore. Just keep in mind that weekends fill up fast and many local spots have limited hours, so a little planning goes a long way.
The County in August is warm, sunny, and beautiful, and comes with a few things worth throwing in your bag. Bug spray is a must, especially for evening events outdoors. Sunscreen is your best friend for beach days and winery hopping, and an umbrella never hurts just in case the sky has other plans. If you are staying a few extra days and planning to hit Sandbanks, pack a cooler with snacks and non-alcoholic drinks as alcohol is not permitted in the park and there is not much on site. Other than that, pack light, dress for summer, and come ready to have a good time.
Prince Edward County is a rural island on Lake Ontario, roughly 2.5 hours from Toronto, 3 hours from Ottawa, and 3.5 to 4 hours from Montreal. A car is the easiest way to get around as public transit and ridesharing options are very limited. We recommend coming with your own vehicle if you can and coordinating with fellow guests to turn it into a road trip!
Local's tip: If you're driving from the east (Ottawa or Montreal), fill up on gas at the Tyendinaga Reserve on your way into the County. Best prices around. You're welcome. :)
Sandbanks Provincial Park is one of Ontario's most beautiful beaches and one of the main reasons people fall in love with the County. People often say it looks more like the ocean than a lake. If you are planning to arrive early, it is absolutely worth a visit. :)
A few things to know before you go — passes must be purchased in advance and can only be booked up to five days before your visit (they sell out quickly). There is also not much in the way of food and drinks at the park so come prepared and pack everything you need for the day.
